This image straight away inspired me as I believe the use of glass is well thought, as they have used it as a wall covering to fool the eye into believing there is more space than there actually is. The designer has used colour but haven't gone for bright harsh tones, but has kept the colours minimal to again create the illusion of space.

Interglas Atex - Textile Membranes
I have recently discovered a company called Intergla Atex which have been creating woven glass fibre fabrics for over 60 years. The faberics are used for a range of different purposes, for example; Tensile structures, ceiling constructions, weather-proof awnings, facade covers, membrane structures. The reasons why these faberics are used for these these applications are because the have a good select of features, such as;
- Extremely high strength
- Outstanding flexibility
- Good fire retardancy
- No toxic emissions or residual odours
- Soil-repellent top coat
And a range of benifits;
- Available in any colour
- Long lifespan of over 25 years
- Very easy to clean
- No degradation by UV light
- Up to 40% translucency
Although these faberics are mainly used for external use, I believe they could have benifits to the interior design. One of my reasons being that, it has up to 40% translucency, creating light without the use of glass which isn't as flexiable.
As I had a really interest in this companies products I decided to order my own sample to see the texture and apperence of the faberics.
